SoundMeter X transforms your iPhone or iPad into a portable data-logging sound level meter (SLM), noise dosimeter, stereo signal generator, multi-channel data recorder, and real-time whole or 1/3 octave band spectrum analyzer. To access most features, a subscription is necessary, but you can sample them with a 14-day trial.

You can capture input signals from the current user-selected audio input path and calibrate sensitivity for any audio input device or channel. Direct hardware support is available for The Modal Shop’s 2-channel 485B39 USB-ICP interface and miniDSP’s UMIK-1, UMIK-2, and E.A.R.S. microphones with automatic sensitivity calibration.

Besides real-time sound level measurements, SoundMeter allows you to save raw sound data to audio files and record acquired sound level data along with date, time, and location in various file formats such as CSV, TXT, MAT-files, or high-resolution PDF images for later access on your device.

You can download SoundMeter for free from the App Store and access additional tools and features through auto-renewable subscriptions.

The Multi-channel Data Recorder supports up to 8 channels with live monitoring and embedded metadata in audio files. The Stereo Signal Generator allows customization of output channels with diverse noise sequences and waveform options.

You can share the Pro Tool Set subscription between SoundMeter X and SignalScope X to unlock all features included in both subscriptions across both apps with iCloud login required.
